Hey everybody, its been such a long time since I have put anything on here, so here goes…
Introducing Grassville UK, this my latest’s Duo with a very talented friend of mine Roberto Ruiz.
Together we play classic to modern music, I sing and play acoustic guitar/ mandolin and Roberto plays Double Bass/electric bass.
Roberto Ruiz Bio.
Originally from New York City, Roberto Ruiz is a session bass player that has moved to the UK. His introduction to the music scene in the UK was due to several tours with Jake Stigers and The Velvet Roots from 2006-2008. He’s now living and working in England as a session player and touring with the legendary sixties group The Animals.
As well as playing original music, Roberto plays in several function bands including Grassville UK. The duo, which highlights the excellent guitar skills of Simon Brady, consists primarily of double bass, acoustic guitar and mandolin. The group plays their own acoustic interpretations of current chart topping hits, country, blues, jazz and rock & roll.

Hi all, its been a busy time for me since I last wrote a blog, so I decided to let you know about this one particular event.
It was the end of July and I was asked to dep for a young lady coming from Nashville called Sarah Gayle Meech, a singer song writer coming up in the world of country, we started out in Southport at a lively little holiday camp called leisure lakes and we had the place rocking, next evening on to a really cool music bar in Leicester called” The Musician” we had a great night with people coming from as far as London to support her. The next gig we played at a popular country music club in Wakefield called Gilly’s and again it was a very successful night. Other venues played were in Netherly and Heywood…..I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and any country music fans reading this, I recommend that you check out sarahgaylemeech.com

On the 10th of February I had a call from Pete Kennedy to play lead guitar and sing harmonies in his country band during a tour in Ireland. From Nashville (originally from Ireland) Pete had put together an elite group of session players, Brian Jones from Texas on Bass, and Justin Johnson on Drums and also a solo supporting act by the name of Sean Patrick McGraw a singer song writer from upstate New York who also played Banjo and Mandolin in the band.
We had eight gigs in total all in southern Ireland and two radio interviews, the hospitality was amazing, as you can see in some of the photos taken!
